Signed. I've no faith in the honours system as it stands, with its trappings of a dead empire and its knighthoods and positions for party donors and cronies, but it's the only form of recognition for public service that we have at the moment. Blair lied to get us into a war, walked away and now makes a tidy living passing himself off as an elder stateman. As such, it's an insult to the thousands of people who serve their communities with no thought for themselves.
