View Full Version : PL-259 aerial connector
Does anyone know where I can locally obtain a PL-259 (50 ohm) aerial connector? This is for connecting a marine traffic AIS receiver to a VHS aerial.
I'd think you maybe have an outside chance of LED in Thurso having some of these.
Failing that you'll get one on ebay.

hi try fixm across from thurso police station he might have something or Collin chessors in the arcade
DX100UK on here would probably have one, he does repairs of radio equipment
not sure if ive any new ones
been a long time..
have too look later.
as its not a transceiver
noting to top you simply folding the centre over a few times and pushing It in the hole.
or using an old banana plug
what a vhs aerial?

if yo mean VHF yo'ull need a better one than that comes with those AIS boxes unless you are right on the coast an up very high
5/8 on 5/8 ham aerial should be better.
I have no new std PL259 that re not unused
but I've lots of right angle ones
but you'll need it soldering on the coax.
me if you want further help
