View Full Version : garden bulb problem
Anybody got any ideas of what creature is digging up our bulbs even in tubs
Squirrels definitely will always do this and many birds will also - it is food - put some chicken wire over the bulbsuntil they are growing well.
Cats, they love earth. Or maybe mice, little blighters spoilt seed trays and a lovely clematis I have in the greenhouse.

Used a wild cam to see what was digging up ours and it turned out to be a rat. Have also seen them digging up spuds!
Voles are another culprit!
+1 on Voles & mice, I found a pille of bulbs hidden in the back of a shed.

The Caithness squirrel is an elusive devil!
Tigerduck's, they are flying north just now and bulbs are their favourite food (how they digest the class nobody knows)

I have some feral cats that dig the bulbs out my tubs, then use them as litter trays. Charming.
