View Full Version : lizard
Saw a small yellow lizard in garden today has any body know what kind it could be?
I must say newts do look a lot like small lizards and can have a yellowy/green colouring. Wondering if there any ponds in or near your garden bounce?
there is pond over the main road about 5 hundred yards away?

Sounds like a brexit, probably just fled Europe on the back of a lorry.

I believe newts will travel large distances to find water so yes I'll vote for your lizard-like creature being a newt. How wonderful.
definitely sounds like a newt

Was it very drunk?
Unless of course it's a lizard.
Although they're seldom seen.

Saw a lizard running accross the track from Blingery to Camster last summer. Ran too fast to be a newt I would say. It was pretty much the colour of old grass and would be well camouflaged in long grass.
