I love to watch Grand Designs you know. Nothing what.....so.....ever to do with Kevin Macleod being the presenter haha! Oh and the other similar programme with Charlie Luxton (not quite Kevin Macleod is he) but can't remember the name of the show. Anyway, I'm sure I've seen an episode (now bear with me I'm more into mixing cakes than mortar)where batons were nailed to the outside of a house, insulation placed between, and beautiful larch cladding nailed over the top. The house owners said how they rarely needed to put their heating on after the work was done! Obviously, they probably didn't live north of Watford but it sounded like something worth doing. Just my 2 cents worth.
