I see the National Audit Office has reviewed the flagship "Green Deal" and conclude that it was a complete waste of time and of taxpayers money. The cost to the taxpayer was £17,000 PER HOUSE, yet CO2 savings were negligible.

Another green farce which has cost the taxpayer money and made absolutely zero contribution to "saving the planet".
These "green energy" technologies are now as proven and established as standard energy production sources, why should the UK taxpayer and payers of our electricity bills require to keep propping them up so they can make even more money ?
Its time to stop all green energy subsidies/handouts/sponsorships/obligations and have wind, solar, etc stand on an even basis alongside existing power generators. Stopping them would also save all of us a bit each month from our electricity bills.
