The last twice we have parked in Morrison's car park in Inverness we have received an invoice for parking fees even though on both occasions we had paid for our parking.
Thankfully someone warned us that we do not have to pay this, technically this is an invoice, not a fine, as this is a privately owned car park. If we did owe them anything it would just be the amount for the overdue parking eg £1.

Great advice on http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/private-parking-tickets

Just wondering has anyone else had this problem.

Yep. My daughter had this. She paid for the correct time, didn't go over and got a parking ticket for £85. It seems the parking system had been changed and it is now free for up to 3 hours so the machines should not be still taking the money and issuing tickets. She put in an appeal and they got back to her saying that it had been upheld. We told her to just ignore it but she was in a bit of a tizz about it. She emailed Morrisons about it and they cancelled the ticket.
Its a disgrace and I bet a lot of people are paying!

Thanks. I think I will e-mail Morrisons too just to point this out to them. May be the more folk that complain about this they may do something about it.

Dont pay it, they cant do anything about it. If its the cops or traffic warden then Id advise you to pay- however these cowboys try this all over, I was awarded a bill of £90 for parking in a hotel carpark in dyce for 2 hours , my mate said its all bluff dont pay it & I had 2 bills & never heard anymore . That was January last year
