I'm looking for help with Elizabeth Gray b. 1802 Canisbay, Freswick. She might be my gggrandmother.
She had 4 children with James Robertson (can't find any marriage records in OPR) - Margaret & Ann, both born 1826 (?), Janet b 1831 and James b 1833 (hopefully my ggrandfather).
OPR Births 035/0020 0086 shows James born to her and James 'Robeson' 1833 1 June.
1841 she lived in Canisbay, 'Skirza' as E. Robertson, "cottager".
1851 in Freswick, Canisbay as Elizabeth Gray ("general industry"), with daughters Margaret and Janet.
1861 in Wick, Lochside of Sarclet as Elizabeth Robertson ("formerly fisherman's wife"), with daughter Margaret now married to Andrew Donaldson, with his father James and their son James Donaldson (b 1860).
Does anybody know anything about her? And son James Robertson(b1833). I'd really love to know if they're really my ancestors or if I'm barking up the wrong tree - or just plain barking!
