Such a shame that the above respite service received very low grades, (Grades 1 and 2s) in their recent inspection carried out by the Care Commission. Caithness comes under the remit of the North Branch.
Makes interesting reading.

My family has used Crossroads Care service in the past and had nothing but praise for the local team who ran the Caithness side of the organisation. Some while ago social services began using CarrGomm based in Inverness for their respite care at home and many of the Crossroads staff went under the CarrGomm banner and stayed with their clients.
We were migrated to CarrGomm and have no complaints about the care provision we receive. We still support Crossroads too as they are also a valuable asset to the County.
It is quite unfair to lump so many areas of such a large region together as it pulls the average figures down.
Dan Mackay who did the inspection is a lovely fair chap who says as he finds, honestly. Previous reports were for Crossroads Caithness under different management team and perhaps scored better because it was local and manageable.
I hope this most recent report would not stop somebody in a careing situation who needed some extra support to continue in their caring role would struggle on because of this article.
