I'll be seeing all my family later on -this is my older daughter's first time that it's Mother's Day for her as a Mum as well..

I had a lovely morning the kids made me breakfast and then tidied up. It was so nice then after a little while they fell out over who was not helping enough....situation normal.

I have five cards lined up on the window with various pictures and a box of half eaten chocolates which I have yet to touch lovely. :D

Happy Mothers day to everyone too.

Was woken at 7am - the kids sneaked into the room with one of those large streamer party rockets we had left from New Year and let it off  ..bit of a shocker it has to be said! Then cards and breakfast in bed. Then they decided to make a big tray of gooey brownies for me. Dad has now taken them out for an hour - so I'm off to hoover up the streamers and scrub down the kitchen!

I love home made cards and the effort they put into doing things round the house (hate the commercialism in the shops though).

We went to the Ulbster for lunch, my sister, myself and my mum were all gifted some choccies by the hotel which I thought was very sweet. My middle son (age 13) used his baby brothers bath letters to spell out Happy Mothers Day on the Bathroom tiles. Thought that was very sweet. Both older boys bought me cards and choclates from Thorntons. Its been lovely so far be even better if my youngest would stop playing with the T.V. remote and go for a nap.

Happy Mothers day to all....whether your kids are tots, teens, twenties or beyond...:Razz

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY EVERYBODY!
Had a lovely day. didn't manage to get breakfast in bed cos was up before any of the kids!! but did manage to get bacon roll made for me by lunch-time!! Kids then decided to make me a cake, but was a total disaster and ended up in the dog!! Then spent most of the day tidying up the mess they'd left behind. but wouldn't have it any other way - as they say, it's the thought that counts. Finished off day with a glass of red wine - bliss xxxx:cool:

No breakfast in bed, but my day did involve some pretty cards, flowers, several boxes of chocs, a homemade key fob...and driving my 13-year-old up to Tesco (at his insistance), so he could get me a present!

Oh, and they all agreed it was probably a good idea if I cooked Sunday dinner, anyway! :D But everyone stayed pretty mellow all day, and no fights...which is quite remarkable in a house full of teenagers. It was a good day. <smiling fondly>

I hope it was a Happy Mothers Day for all!
