Hello Caithness Genealogy Forum Members.
I would be interested to hear from anyone with the Smith Family of Brough, Dunnet and later Thurso and Castletown in their family tree. There are connections to Anderson, Rosie, Calder, Gunn, Mckay (Mackay), Paul,Mowat, Scobie,Murray, Malcolm, Dunnet, Miller, Hewson, and Banks to name a few.
The majority of the eldest sons were named George.

I wonder if any of your BANKS and MOWAT's come from, or have an association with the Mey and/or Canisbay area of Caithness? This is the area that my BANKS family came from.
