Catherine Christie/Christan/Christian was married to William/James Bain dates unknown. They had 2 children
1. Isabella Bain b. 1841/47 in Wick
2. Magdelina Bain b. 1849 in Wick.
Catherine Bain then married Andrew Harper on 25 May 1849. In the 1851 census there is no sign of these two girls living with Catherine and Andrew.
Isabella had 3 Illigitimate children
1.Andrewina Robertson Bain b. May 1867 in Wick
2.Helen MacKenzie Bain b. 18 November 1869 in Wick
3.George Sutherland Bain b. 22 July 1878 Louisburgh, Wick
In the 1871 Census. Isabella and the two girls are living at Green Road, Wick
Isabella died 27 July 1878 in Louisburgh, Wick. Informant of the Death was the Inspector of the Poor.
Andrewina and George went to live with Catherine and Andrew Harper after Isabela`s Death. Not known what happened to Helen
There is no sign of Magdelina until she registers her illigitimate daughters birth in Aberdeen on 18 June 1867. Her daughters name was Catherine Ann Bain.
Magdelina later married Hugh Adams on 5 May 1871.
Magdelina died at Aberdeen Royal Lunatic Asylum in January 1890.
Catherine Harper/Bain nee Christie/Christian/Christan died in August 1901 at Castletown, Olrig, Wick.
In 1881 census the family are living at Sarclet
