I have been out a few times and no show, if there was a fine display, how do you take a photo without having to read two hundred pages of instructions on your camera?

There appears top be 2 threads on this - my post on the other thread follows...
Agreed !
To those of you on computers in Caithness now - switch off and go outside!
Message below was posted on my FB page about 10 mins ago... and I'm off outside again in 2 minutes..
Been outside for the past half hour watching the Northern Lights. This is the best display I've seen in years. Sitting in silence - apart from the owls crying every 5 minutes - is a fantastic experience. It reminds me why I've been in Caithness for 31 of the last 34 years. Loving it !
It has taken me almost a decade to see them. Sometimes I have thought that I might have seen them, but was never sure. Now I am sure! Brilliant. Beautiful! Still going strong above Keiss at 22:00 tHURSDAY
