hi all
Still trying to find Janet Hunter Groat born 1854 Govan Larnarkshire.
Her father Ewings Groat brought Janet and her sister Mary to live with his sister And her husband Ann and Robert Anderson in Pulteneytown.
I can only find Janet on 1871 census. on the free cen census she is down as Janet Groat Anderson.1871.
I found her sister mary in Glasgow. as for Janet i have searched Ancestry/scotland's people with no luck.
can anyone please help .

The janet hunter Groat you found is thr cousin of the janet hunter groat i am searching for.
It can be a bit confusing as my groat's carried the name in thier familie's.
I have the marriage for this Janet.
