Aye, it's hardly the punter friendly opening hours that were supposed to put the local shops to shame!!

Surely this forum is not for this kind of message?

See part of forum rules below:

General Content Guidelines
As this is a community forum and is read by visitors of all ages, genders, religions, nationalities etc, please be aware of this when you post. Although we are not going to set a rule for what you choose to discuss on the forums, we would prefer that the topics are related to Caithness in some way, or national issues that affect everyone. It should also be taken into consideration that certain topics like football or religion can very easily be misread and cause offence, so great care should be taken when dealing with these types of issues.

I hardly think that when Argos opens is a national concern!!

Well it may not be of national importance but it if it helps someone then the admins are not going to be too worried. In fact this morning I noted the thread and used the information to set up new page in the Business Inndex for anyone in the future
See http://www.caithness-business.co.uk/business.php?id=1680

I also did Pets At Home while I was at it
http://www.caithness-business.co.uk/business.php?id=1681

So it has helped get the Business Index more information at the same time and maybe the next person will find it there and not need to post here.

So I stand corrected - does this mean we should all post threads of little value to most people and fill the forum with guff?

The answer is easy. If the headline of the topic is not of interest there is no requirement to read the thread.

I agree it is a waste of time reading items that are of no interest. That does not mean to say they are of no interest to others. If someone knows the answer oto query then it is great that someone can help out. Part of what this message board is about.

being from outside the county but a frequent visitor, sometimes its handy to know something so i can arrange my journey accordingly.
