It does seem that the general public are being kept very much in the dark over the future of Thurso Library. From the little information reported, the building work is going to take much longer than originally anticipated because of the state of the building. It seems that there has been no plan B for such an instance. It's very sad, too, that those members who represent us on the Highland Council seem to be maintaining silence on the matter. Please, everyone who uses and supports the Thurso library, lets get something sorted; send a waken up call to our local representatives. The ad-hoc arrangement of a mobile library located near the swimming pool in Thurso is not satisfactory any longer. There must be a better option. The library is an important feature in many people's lives.
