View Full Version : Camping tent etc.
Where do you stand with regards to camping but not in a campsite etc.
If I was to take the tent to the west coast etc. can you camp anywhere or not have a little BBQ etc?
Is there land where you can and others you cant and if so how do you know?
I think most farmers / landowners would let you camp on their land if you asked, but not to bbq. there is a risk of fire etc and would you really like it if someone decided to come and have a bbq in your garden? I think the simple answer is be polite enough to ask and most of the time as long as you are responsible and clear up after yourself there wouldnt be a problem
That makes sense however how do you know someone owns that land in the first place if it has no fence etc?

if your going to camp just use some common sense. clean up after yourself in all ways (toilet waste too). leave the place as you found it
