I still have not found William Budge born in Caithness 1880, who went to Canada in 1906.
I have been searching the 1911 census for Canada, and cannot find him ...
Big Job, my eyes are aching.....
If you have any info - or indeed come across his name, I would love to hear from you.

Thanking you,
Trinkie

Try searching the Canadian attestation papers at:

There is a William Budge, plasterer, born 2nd April 1879 in Wick. Says 17 Kirkhill, Wick on the record - possibly next of kin address.
These are the papers for those signing up for the army in WW1.

I found my gt uncle's son using that site -he joined up in 1916 when he was 18. I was really pleased to get a description of him and also to get his father's address in Vancouver at the time...
but so far I haven't been able to find out anything more about him...:(
