If there used to be a church in place of where the TSB Bank in Thurso is now? I'm talking perhaps early 20th century. Perhaps someone has access to this request?

And if there is a photograph of the (Thurso) town clock during construction? I know photography came to Caithness around the time it was being built. Perhaps there's one somewhere which someone is aware of? I know a book in Edinburgh's Central Library - a Norwegian book methinks - had a pencil drawing of it half-built, but I'll be damned if I can locate it.

Oh, and perhaps we could upload pix of old Caithness pix, Mr. Moderator? Nearly every messageboard I attend allows this. I'm sure everyone would be delighted to share their photies.

According to early O.S. maps the TSB site was previously occupied by a Free Church building, and after that by the town's Post Office, presumably before the Sinclair Street Office was built.

Thanks, Baron. Most appreciated. Next question: is there any photgraphs/images of the Free Church? That would be something worth seeing.

Doesn't look like anyone has any old photos Pepsy.

Here's a few of Lybster from the 1920s I think.
