I don't know if this is the right place but hopefully someone will be able to give us a bit f interesting history :)

I am after information of a Mr George Scott, Born 1915 in London, Profession was Teacher both here and possibly Orkney. I don't know what subjects and i also believe he taught at the high school.

There is nothing i want to do with the info, it is just purely persnal curisoity :) i have a large painting by this man dated 1964 and it's always nice to knw a little about the artist i think :)

Looking at the style of his paintings then yes, also the one we have is titled something along the lines of 'the martyring of st magnus' so it fits in with the orkney theme :)
thank you very much horse :)

would this be him ? http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/yourpaintings/artists/scott-george-d-1974When you open the link you see a painting of Alexander Leask Rector of Kirkwall Grammar 1929-1953. There are no self portraits of the artist in the 7 paintings on this site.
