Anyone out there know of descendants from Donald McIntosh? He was a blacksmith, first in Lybster then in Dunbeath from the mid 1850s. I am related to his wife, Janet or Jessie McPherson. The 1871 census shows that Donald and Jessie/Janet lived at Bridgend on the Dunbeath Estate along with John (aged 17 and also a blacksmith), George (15 and likewise a blacksmith), Ann (13 and the first of the children to have been born in Dunbeath as opposed to Lybster), Jane (11), Jessie (9), Adam (6), Grace (4), and baby daughter Donaldina (1). There may even have been more children after that. Any descendants of this line around? ANy info on the Bridgend blacksmith shop?
