This type of posting would be much better if it were places in the What's On section with much further advance notice. The viewings for events have much higher profile in the What's On section and appear on the day on the front page and across many other pages on the site.

Items in the forum often go out of sight quickly so maybe do not have the maximum impact.

What's On items also appear in the Facebook pages automatically for even higher visibility.

So a few ideas to get the best coverage -
Place events in the What's On section as far in advance as you can - even years if you know the date.

Use a poster if you can create one - jpegs. If you have word poster a link in the submission page will take you to web a site to convert it to jpeg
