Hi

Just wondering if anyone knows if there are any support groups in Wick as I have never heard of any and if not, would anyone be interested in getting together and starting one. It can be a very lonely experience and others find it hard to understand or sympathize if they have not experienced themselves. P.M. me if you are interested

Thanks

I suffer from post traumatic stress and social anxiety disorder there's times it would be nice to talk to people who understand, with my condition I don't need alcohol, I don't suffer from depression, no panic attack I just want to be alone as far away from people as possible. They say no man can be an island but with the combination PTSD and SAD man/woman can be totally isolated and alone, having specialist support groups in Caithness would be very good idea for people like myself.

Hi guys, I know there is CBT therapy but there is a long list and that is not enough in itself. I think it would be great to start a group as a network of support for one another and perhaps make some new friendships along the way. If anyone would be interested. You can P.M. me and it will be totally confidential. I think support is seriously lacking up here and feel something needs to be done to stop the stigma and help us.

I hear you loud and clear Jerrico I often find myself wanting to be alone and far away from being social.

Thankyou Rangers1, I am hoping to get enough responses to make this possible. I know some folk may be too shy or afraid but all P.M.s will be confidential and all ideas welcome.

Could anyone interested please private mail me and any ideas welcome. Thanks Fran. I am in the Wick area and think there is a lack of support and understanding and think this could be very beneficial to people who are feeling alone

I think this is a great idea. Maybe the Haven in wick could help you, maybe John Craw would help as he is a councellor, I am very interested in this

I thought that John Craw was not a properly qualified counsellor. From my search for a formally qualified one in Caithness I have failed to find any.

Hi there I have to say I have never heard of this John Craw. I think some folk may be more intimidated by a professional involvement though? Was thinking it would be good to have a group of actual sufferers who would be more understanding and sympathetic towards each other without fear of any stigma or judgement
