does anyone know if and how it's possible to change settings if one accidentally clicks on "hide all from" for a post of a friend and only realizes it because feeds of those friends don't appear anymore? thanks.

i think this is it, find them in your friends list, mouse over their name then over the "friends" button, and click settings, theres a list of updates and events, select what you want to show. not sure it thats the answer but worth a try
