i am so pleased that at long last Caithness General hospital will have its own ct scanner which will benefit so many people in Caithness and sutherland. Many have been fighting for this for years, well done. So many stroke patients will be saved the long and uncomfortable run in patients transport to raigmore hospital in Inverness. It will benefit road accident, head injuries, the list is endless.
Also great that all that money is being spent on the blood bank in caithness General hospital which means the blood service will be back to normal early next year

Me too..it's about time that Scotland woke up to the fact that there are folks that live north of Inverness.

It certainly is great news and not before time.

The only thing that crosses my mind is that about two years ago the Health Board turned down an offer to have one given to them free of charge because, they said, they couldn't afford to staff one.

Now they are having to pay not only for the staff but also a small fortune to actually acquire something they could have had for nothing.
