I have enjoyed watching the olympics, but what's happened to all the false starts?
It used to be that if you false started you were 'yellow carded' - it required one athlete to carry our two false starts before they were DQed from the race. Now, if you false start once, you are instantly DQed. As such, the number of false starts in track events has dramatically fallen in major competitions such as World Champs and Olympics.

Me and the wife were only saying the same the other night. wonder if it has slowed the races down by fractions of a sec
