new frogs/toads?

How do I tell the difference?
They have only just lost their tails as tadpoles and are nw froglet/toadlet and are very mini toad/frogs....
no bumps etc....and going back asap!....but identification beforehand would be good!

even i know this one, frog tadpoles are brown, toad tadpoles are black ... and that's without using google :cool:

I had both as tadpoles....not sure which have turned :lol:
I wasnt too concerned in who was what, while cleaning out and feeding ...the kids were doing the observations.
Now they cannot decide if it was brown tadpoles that have turned or the black ones or one of each so far!
Whatever they were they have been released from the pond we collected them from.
And are awaiting the rest to get their front legs or their tails to shrink!
