Heard that the council are planning to cut them down!!Not a reversible idea how old are they? Personaly think this would be a shame
Are they going to be cutting them down or just polling/lobbing the branches as they do every few years - check with the council or Thurso Improvements first.
I heard that they are completely removing them & replacing them with windmills....

Ah I remember the white rain coming down on the tourists from those trees when the pipe band marched past...
Enquire about it at the local council office, they'll put you in touch with the right branch :-)

They are coming completely down. The council has a survey done and the trees are meant to be unstable so they have to be removed for safety reasons.
They have however replaced the trees with smaller ones which will take quite a few years to get them big lol.
I personally think its a disgrace, Health and safety is changing the world.
It all boils down to, insurance claims etc..
