View Full Version : Can you give Taffy a home?
Caithness Cats Protection have been desperately looking for a home for Taffy but as he is an older cat he gets overlooked for younger cats and kittens. (See December front page archive).
Although he is about nine or ten years old he is in very good health and can be considered middle aged as more cats are living to about twenty years of age nowadays!
We initially said that he couldn't be homed with other pets but we have reconsidered this as he is quite outgoing.
He deserves a loving home as he has been in foster care for a long time and before that he was a stray.
He is very affectionate and just wants attention. He will even blether to you! :D
So if you can make it a very Happy New Year for Taffy please pm me or call 07050073378.
Please call. Taffy is waiting!!!!
I am bringing this post back up to the top as it was posted just before the site had problems so not every one may have seen it.
Surely there is someone in the whole of Caithness who could give this lovely cat a home?
He really does deserve to know what a loving home is like after living rough for so long.
If we don't get a home for him soon he is going to have to be moved to one of our other Branches and we don't really want to do this as he will have to endure a long journey.
Please keep Taffy in Caithness!!!!!
i would love to have a cat but my mum would kill me.
What a shame!
If you know anyone who could give Taffy a home please let me know.
C'mon folks, surely someone out there can give old Taffy a home??
He now has a spoilt and quiet life in Reay. 'Ol' softie Rheghead ' strikes again!
Well done you - it takes a special person to rehome an oldie of any animal.
Nicola
Thanks Rheghead!!
Everyone at Cats Protection is absolutely delighted that you were kind enough to give Taffy the home he craved and deserved! Thank goodness you're an 'ol softie'!!! lol
Happy New Year!!!!!

oh sorry did not see the posting i see it now
He has been enjoying some chicken and has finally gained enough confidence to come out from under the bed!
He is an affectionate wee chap, but has yet to feel comfortable with our other two cats and (cat friendly) dog. A bit more time and he'll be right enough.
The poor wee chap has been on his own for so long you're right it will take him time to get used to his new family.
He is a very lucky cat to have been given a home by someone as kind and patient as you are.
If you ever need any help let me know but I'm sure you won't!!!
Thanks again!
If anyone else can offer a cat a home then please contact me.
Amongst the cats we have needing a home just now are two seven month old Ginger Toms who are brothers and need to be homed together. One is very affectionate and outgoing whilst the other is quite shy. They are beautiful looking cats.
We also who have a ten month old Tortoiseshell who is very affectionate but quite nervous so she needs a home with no young children.
We also need people with outbuildings to take cats which aren't suitable for homes but still need caring for.
Let's make it a Happy New Year for these cats! :D

I would be happy to give a cat a home, one that is happy to live in an out building, I have two large stone barns which would be ideal. I'm south for a couple of weeks but will contact you again when I'm back. :Razz
That's great! Would you be able to take two?
We have two six month old brothers who we want to home together. They came to us to as kittens but were too old to be socialised which means we can't home them as 'house cats' but a barn like yours would be ideal.
Let me know.
