Hi Peter
I can't help with any later info on Ann Campbell Miller but I am interested in
the Bremners of Sarclet. It looks as though Ann may have been named after
Ann Campbell who was the second wife of her uncle, Angus Bremner, and had no children.
What I have been unable to find is a death certificate for
Elizabeth and Angus's father, James Bremner. He was living at Sarclet in 1861,
born about 1805, but I can find no record of his death. His parents could well
be Alexander Bremner and Catherine Gunn who had a son James baptised in 1805 and the death cert might confirm this.

Hi Tony Yes this is the same Bremners We cant find a death certificate for James Bremner either but as he was present at his son Angus first wedding in 1863 to Mary Bain but not at Angus s 2nd wedding to Ann Campbell in 1867 Angus and Ann had a son in 1871 called James but he died in infancy Angus is buried in Thrumster cemetry along with Ann
Elizabeth 1840 1914 died wick
Catherine 1835
Angus 1837 1904 died sarclet
Alexander 1844 1864 drowned wick harbour
James 1842 1859 died sarclet
Jane 1847
Margaret 1850 1892 died Montrose
Donald 1854 1883 died Montrose

Tony I wonder if James had been lost at sea ie no death certificate Only an idea thanks for reply
