Here is a Photo of the Damage that cased to the Inverness to Wick Train, or was it going the other way, when it hit a Tree that had fallen. Line was closed for a while I believe.

It was actually heading from Wick Kodiak, but it's some mess!

Apparently a passenger was injured, I just hope it was minor and that the passenger injured makes a very speedy recovery.

It illustrates once again that the North Highland Line really does need to have a significant investment for amongst other things to check the trackside areas for any dangers. If tracksides are inspected regularly then potentially dangerous trees and the like can be identified and removed.

Yet again it illustrates how Scotland north of Inverness seems to be off the radar of major organisations responsible for maintaining national assets.

Didn't I see on the news that someone hadn't paid their fare, and was ejected from the train through that hole?

It had not long left inverness, my cousin and her daughter were on it, they were shaken up but ok.
