Forty people have been rescued from their flood-hit homes in the Highlands by lifeboat volunteers.
Police have declared the flooding, which is widespread across the region, as a major incident.
Northern Constabulary have also warned of more extreme weather, with heavy rain and winds reaching 80mph.
In Dingwall, Kessock RNLI crew assisted in evacuating 40 residents from their homes and children and elderly people were given shelter at the academy.
