My grandad has a brother George McAdie Kennedy born Canisbay 3 Nov 1881 died Liverpool 24 Mar 1932
I know the McAdie name is in the area but was wondering if anyone can help with the whys and wherefores? PLEASE
J Kennedy/Jack (Jane)
J Kennedy/Bremner(Isabella)
J Kennedy/Henry (Hendry or Hennrie)(Elizabeth)
J Kennedy/Bremner(Helen)
A Kennedy/Barndson (Barbara) ?
Thank you in eager anticipation
Jill
The middle name was often the surname of the mother.
OR another member of the family.
I have known it to be the Minister who Christened the baby or the Doctor or nurse who delivered it !
Have you checked any of the possibilities?
Good luck
Trinkie
Hi Trinkie
I am slowly going through the family but fancy telling me it could be the doctor nurse minister Wow I have certainly got my work cut out
Thanks Jill
ha ha = that's why it's called Family Search !!
Just look at your Certificates it's amazing what you'll find.
Dont forget the witness at the wedding, a child is often given the name of a good friend.
Good luck
Trinkie ( look at that , I'm called after a swimming pool ! )
