Mobile Phone not sending photos

My mobile phone doesn't send pictures and I am at a loss as to why. But I do not think it is the phones fault but the sim card's fault. I have put the sim card in a phone which does work with pics and it doesn't send (it appears to send though) but still charges me the cost of it for the pleasure of not sending. My recipients just get a message which says data not retrievable.

But when I use the phone to connect to a wlan then I can send pics to my Facebook and photobucket with no probs.

Does anyone know what the problem is or how I can fix it please?
