Hi David, welcome to the org. Good to have somewhere that you like so much to visit (when you can) and keep in touch with on here. Long weekend maybe?

Nice to here from everyone ,making me feel part of your family already, Im 90% sure i will be up there within the next 18 months . All i do with my life is work which i love and would miss the people i work with , and go to the gym i dont have a social life there is no sense of community here and all pubs are full of idiots wanting to fight the world so you cant relax. I have a son who is 16 now who i see once a week but he s at that age where he d rather be with his mates /girlfriend so no need for me to stay local much longer. I moved back with parents but am now looking to get my own place again but that is a big problem around here my basic salery is not great so i work 6/7 days a week , for a basic 1 bed flat here you are talking £ 100,000 + -another reason to move to Caithness ,its not impossible for a single guy to buy somewhere to live !!!!! . Perhaps if Thurso gets its Asda or Tesco il come and try for a job there!- here s hoping.
Hi David from Stockport! I have lots of rellies there, aunties, uncles and cousins and spent many a time down on holiday when I was little. My granny and grandad lived there for years. Welcome to the org

Welcome David from Stockport
Passed through Stockport on Tuesday on the way to Old Hall Hotel in Buxton and then Harpur Hill on the Wednesday. It's a bit hilly (and misty) round your way and found the area 'tired'.

Thanks guys- shows what a small world it is with so many of you having been here or passed through etc, yes it is a dull place in lots of ways mind you when i finaly make the move to Caithness i will miss some things like we have 5 mcdonalds resturants! but yes the traffic is terrible its faster to walk sometimes it can take 45mins to travel a distance should take 5 . I work in the Trafford Centre which should take 20 mins i have to go to work a couple of hours early to avoid sitting in traffic for ages. Oh for the space of Caithness and the joy of walking along places like Dunnet beach -I suppose lots of born and bred Caithness people may take this for granted but you are just so lucky.
