I think I caught the tail end of Councillor Graeme Smith being interviewed on Reporting Scotland tonight. Was it actually him, and, if so, what was he talking about?

The report was on the promotion of Gaelic language.

It said that there was some opposition to the universal use of Gaelic signs, using Caithness as an example where Norse and Pictish heritage is stronger than Gaelic.

I think the councillor was saying the policy shouldn't be forced on all areas.

Councillor Smith was interviewed after the Gaelic Plan Consultation meeting in Thurso High School on Monday night. It was the first in a series of meetings to get feedback on the councils draft Gaelic plan.
