I use XP I downloaded a program and it has played havoc with XP Now have no search, run or system tools.
Is it possible to overwrite XP by reinstalling it?
Any help much appreciated

yep sure you can

however, why not do a system restore to the last one pre the download?

are you sure its not an hdd problem?

i'd run chkdsk under right click/tools of your hdd from my computer
