I am currently researching my husband's fathers family history, focusing on the Taylor branch of his family, and am looking for any information (or maybe even living relatives). Here's what I have so far:

Margaret Gow (b.c1823) had a son John Gow b.1856 whose father (according to his marriage certificate) was James Taylor (written on certificate as "Reputed Father").

John Gow Taylor b.1856 (Ackergill, Wick) d. 1936 M. Margaret Forbes b. 1859 (Wick) d. 1935

They had, I believe 7 children as follows:
Donald Taylor b. 26/01/1880 (Wick) d. 14/3/1925 (Died in Glasgow, buried in Wick) M. Helen Scott Milne b. 15/08/1884 (Aberdeenshire) d. 1969 (Little Lever). This is the line my father in law in descended from.
Johana Taylor b.1884 M. Alfred Kemp
Peter Taylor b. 15/11/1885 Wick d. 1906
Margaret Ann Taylor b. 1888 Wick
Alexander Campbell Taylor b. 1890 Wick
William Forbes Taylor b. 1891 Wick d. 1966 M Margaret Elizabeth Clark
John Taylor b. 1895 Wick d. 1979 Wick M Kathleen Sutherland McDonald

Donald Taylor and Helen Scott Milne had, I believe, 9 children as follows:
Margaret Anne Forbes Taylor b. 1905 (Wick) d. 14/4/1955 (Bignold Hosp. Wick) M Hugh McLeod b.1906 d. 1939
Donald Henderson Taylor b. 24/02/1908 d. 21/01/1993 M Hughina McLeod
George Gibb Taylor b. 1909 Wick d. 1988 Fife M Elizabeth Hendry
Isabella May Ford Milne Taylor b.1912 d. 1989 M Alexander Henderson d.1968
William Taylor B.1915 Wick d. 1999 Little Lever M Beatrice Marion Cooke
Dennis Taylor (no information)
John Taylor (no Information)
Alexandrina Campbell Taylor B.1921 D. 2002 M Thomas William Dixon
Mary Anderson Brightman b. 6/5/1919 d. Aug 2001 M Leonard Brightman (in 1948 in Dar Es Salem) - This is my father in laws parents.

I know that 3, Shore Lane, Wick was the family home for many years, and the place where my father in law was born. I also believe that 5 of the 9 children moved to the Manchester area. I would love to get any information on the Taylors as we have recently moved back to the area.

Thank you.
