Such a tragedy. It does appear to be jinxed. From what I read about it, it had a tremendous future with a lot of capability. A lot of money has been invested in it which would be a great loss to the UK Royal Navy and to the United Kingdom.

I know all about the Astute, its diving depth, speed, capability, armaments, propulsion systems etc. Can't tell you though.

They don't pay them enough because they know the locals are living at the end of a 30 mile cul-de-sac and are not willing to move out to get paid the usual rate.
