It's been a sad day for sports related deaths, first Snooker commentator "Whispering" Ted Lowe, and now boxing legend Sir Henry Cooper, two iconic figures from my younger years :(

Yes its a sad old weekend as Hibernian legend Eddie Turnbull died yesterday. I had the pleasure of meeting Eddie in the early 80`s in Tranent before a game against Rangers & as a wee boy he was a scary but loveable guy. RIP Eddie Ted & Henry

A sad weekend for the UK losing 3 sporting legends, Eddie Turnbull from Scottish Football, Sir Henry Cooper from Boxing, and Ted Lowe the "voice" of Snooker, all were gentlemen, I had met Eddie a few times, always a gent.
Rest in peace Gents.
