hens scared to death

Got up this morning to a quiet garden full of bunny fur and chicken feathers. Something had been in the garden during the night scaring my animals. Thankfully the 2 bunnies are OK (though rather subdued). The chickens didn't fair so well - 3 hens dead (no injuries so must have been fright). Only got 1 very lonely cockerel left. :~(

Sounds like a ferret. When a ferret killed my hens there was just a wee hole in their necks where it got the blood from. I actually had to search to find the mark. Had a cockeral killed last week by fox and it's head was off and a big hole in it's body.
