The North Sutherland Community Well being Week starts on April 27th with loads of fun activities for all ages. Some of the activities require booking as places are at a premium. There is a one-off fee of £3.00 for these events - for this you will be given an entry badge which gains you entry to all below. From 3:30pm on Thursday 29th to 6:00pm on Friday 30th North Coast Leisure Centre is open continuously and facilities are FREE to use.


WEDNESDAY 27th APRIL

6:00pm - Adult swimming - beginners
6:30pm - Adult swimming - improvers - both at NCLC
- As part of our adult learn to swim programme. Learn from scratch or just improve your technique. Booking essential

THURSDAY 28th APRIL

10:30am - Tree & Wild Flower Planting - Caladh Sona, Kyle Centre, Sinclair Court
3:30pm - Pool/Gym open session, NCLC
6:00pm - 24 Hour Swimathon, NCLC.
6:30pm - Gaelic Treasure Hunt, Bettyhill
- Starting from the pool in teams of 4, look for Gaelic clues around the village. Fluent, beginners and non-Gaelic speakers all welcome as a translation key will be provided. Booking essential.

FRIDAY 29th APRIL

10:30am - Village Springclean - Tongue, Bettyhill, Melvich
- all volunteers welcome to help the schoolchildren make our villages look lovely.
10:30am - Mini Movers - NCLC
- a fun session of music and movement for under 5s. Booking essential.
12:00pm - Major Movers - NCLC
- Why should the young people have all the fun. A session in the pool to help movement and mobility.
2:00pm - Breakdance Workshop - NCLC
2:00pm - Birthday Graffiti Wall - NCLC
- Booking essential for both of these
From2:30pm - Health MOT Checks - NCLC. Please callto book a thorough examination.
6:00pm - 'Sweet Sixteen' Party - NCLC
- Not been invited to the royal wedding? Us neither! No worries, come and celebrate something just as important, 16 years to the day since the pool's opening. Food, drink, fun and music from the North Coast Jazz Band. All welcome.

SATURDAY 30th APRIL

10:30am - Arts & Crafts - Farr High School
- kitemaking with Paul or ceramic painting with Jean. Booking essential.
12:00pm - Healthy Eating Cook-In - Skerray Hall
- With Mhairi Peattie. Learn to cook a tasty nutritious meal from scratch, pizza in this case. Food is provided, just bring a willing pair of hands and an empty stomach.
1:00pm - Mountain Biking - Rossal
- Be at Farr High School for 12:30pm for the bus to Rossal Forest. Bikes and helmets provided.
4:00pm - 'Just Dance' - Tongue Hall
- Join in to play 'Just Dance' on the Wii, on a big screen. Play for fun or enter our 'Dance-off' for prizes. Raffle & refreshments also.
7:00pm - Ceilidh with Macunrook - Tongue Hall.

SUNDAY 1st MAY
1:00pm - Mass Kite Flying - Melvich Beach
- Come and join what promises to be a spectacular event - wind permitting. If you haven't got a kite but still want to join in, let us know, we may find some spares.
