Osprey

I think I may have just seen an osprey on the Camster Cairns Road. It had a good size fish in its talons. Quite a sight!

There have been ospreys up in these parts for many years, there is nothing quite so spectacular as to put your fishing rod down when dusk is drawing in and watch if your lucky a proper fishing machine at work, last time I had the privilege to watch such a spectacle was some years back, fished for about 4 hours with not much luck sat down to have a smoke and seen the osprey crab him/her self a large trout and then have to fight of 3 lesser black backs to get the meal back to the nest, breathtaking aerodynamics to say the least
