Have just connected new Dell laptop to my Hp Desktop F4280 Printer. I can print emails and My Pictures but all My Documents(Word and Excel) say it is going to print but just spits out blank sheets of paper.
Have tried making a new document, to see if there was a compatibilty problem but that would not print either.
For some reason Word and the printer do not seem to speak to each other.
Has anyone got any ideas as to what the problem is?

Have you checked you have the right printer driver installed on the laptop for the chosen printer, and operating system? Have you tried checking the Hewlett Packard site for an updated driver?

Currently some real bargains on Hewlet Packard printers at Tesco's.

No much use if they don't work though! ;)

If the driver was not right surely it would not be printing my emails(which it is). It is only "Word" documents I cannot get it to print
