Nice one's Deemac,i'm just back in from take 2.It peaked around 11.40 with a few beams of light,then the red upper atmosphere faded
from the shots so thats a sure sign the display is weakening,for now anyway.But after 12 hours of work and 3 hours aurora chasing
i'm not waiting up just to see if it kicks back into action.Got a few good ones from the second session so i'm happy with that.
Thurso bay had a strong green reflection from the aurora,looked cool.

We spotted the glow but the view from here was almost completely obscured by a bank of cloud,kept checking but was really disapointed. Great picture

Very good shots MPH and Deemac. Was out looking but must have been at the wrong times as never saw any displays... :(

Got any tips on settings to use to get good northern lights captures?

I never knew there were Northern Lights last night but didn't see anything when out for a bedtime walk about 11pm.:(

Here's hoping for some more displays over the next year or two as solar activity peaks :-)

Love the reflection in the rock pool,just shows how bright it was at its peak.
