Cows have regional accents like humans, language specialists have confirmed.

It is well known amongst birdwatchers that birds can have regional variations on the main song and calls of their species.

Our Dog Brodie talks - But being English imports, we are having trouble with his accent - is it "WOOF" or "WUFF" ?

I recently read an article that said dolphins are thought to gossip. Among the sounds each dolphin makes is a sequence of sounds that is always unique to each individual, so it's probably that dolphin's name. When two dolphins converse they will use each others' names. Sometimes, but only if a third dolphin is nowhere near, they will use a third name, so the people studying them reckon they're talking *about* the other one!

OMG that brings back memories. jan x
