British Rails over 55 offer is on again untill the end of March. Travel anywhere in Scotland return for only £18. You could go from wick to Gretna Green and back for £18 !!!

It's a wonder the PC brigade haven't jumped on this type of offer and had it stopped for ageism. :p

This seems to be a recurring offer by Scotrail. Are they doing it to try to win back customers lost to the Scottish Governments free bus travel scheme?

How much of their winter fuel allowance would a pensioner have to spend to keep warm on a journey from Wick to Gretna Green on the Scotrail service?

If you want more passengers, try heating your trains and providing a trolley service on all services.

I do Qualify for this by quite a bit, but in reality I wish I did not, for I would love to be under 55 again. Don't knock being too young for this offer changilass, as there will coma a time when you think otherwise.
