My internet explorer is'nt working ........ says something about my settings. I wonder if ( with such skimpy info. ) someone could tell me what the connection settings should be please ? My Op. system is Windows Vista.

Aye ............. It could have been after a virus clean. I'm presently connecting using firefox. I tried ( unsuccessfully ) to down load Internet explorer this morning, hoping that if I did; this would correct my settings.

From my experienced it won't be anything to do with viruses could possibly be the connection settings are set wrong/work offline is on. Could you possibly take a screenshot of the error and post it?

How to take a screen shot
In case you don't know how to do this go to the error and press "alt + prt sc" then open up paint and click paste. Then upload it to a image site like justupload.it and paste the link to the url in the "image" bb codes.

[spoof search engines or the spoof anti-virus prog]
that infect your PC

they introduce a proxy redirect.

go into:

tools/internet options/connections/lan settings

and make sure
ONLY

the top box

automatically select settings

is ticked
untick ALL the lower tick boxes.

that'll sort it.
