My new laptop is 64 bit instead of 32 bit. What are the differences, does any one know please.

Google (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Difference+between+32-bit+and+64-bit) is probably your friend but anyway. Eventually most systems will be 64-bit and without getting into technicalities 64-bit systems:

Support more memory.
Are faster if the software has been compiled for a 64-bit architecture.

You probably won't notice much of a difference as a 64-bit system can run 32-bit software. Drivers are probably the only issue, you'll need to get the 64-bit version. The laptop probably has them bundled already and most vendors have 64-bit drivers.
