View Full Version : Fergus Highland Games - August 2006
From the heavy events: - It appeared that a sack of potatoes was hurled over the caber extending from the crane. It was called the Sheaf. It was described as "a 20lb weighted ball of twine and burlap and a standare pitch fork to toss." I certainly didn't see anything like it at Mey.

Clan Gunn tent - this fellow had just returned from Wick.
He somehow failed to connect that the lady whom Malcolmdog described as wearing a Caithness General Hospital T shirt was the same person who arrived at his table wearing a Caithness General Hospital T shirt. Oh, well, I talked to many other people who picked up on the shirt and were delighted to talk to someone about Caithness.

It was a glorious day despite not meeting up with Malcolmdog. I laughed when someone giving a talk mentioned a line from the "Proclaimers" song. None of the regular Canadians got it. They aren't plugged in to the org!
I spread the good word of caithness.org and some thought they might check it out!

Great stuff. But wasn't there a French Fry wagon?

Of course, but I figured that they were universal and no one would want to see one.
